Pam McKee is the artist behind McKee Fine Photography. Pam uses her lens to embrace clients’ personalities in a natural environment. Not with the goal to simply record a picture, but to truly capture a beloved portrait as unique as each client. This goal of portraying a personality through portrait is an art that Pam has been practicing for many years on countless subjects in various environments.
Pam Mckee grew up in a large family in the cornfields of Iowa. After graduating high school she moved to Boulder, Colorado to pursue her dream as a photographer. During photography school she grew to love the dark room and being behind the lens.
After school, Pam and her husband Paul raised their three children on a horse ranch, all-the-while honing her art of photography. Her kids gave her the perfect models for practice and she never missed a moment to photograph them or anyone else willing to model for her - cowboys in motion, newborn babies, graduates, weddings, dogs, children and more.
In 2000 Pam opened her little orange studio in Rifle, Colorado. Her unique artistic photography became quickly well known and she is now a sought after portrait photographer in the area. These days she can be found photographing her grandchildren who are never lacking in current portraits and are always filling grandma’s purse.
